Nation Wide United Premier Soccer League Proudly Supports Our Referees!

March 21, 2019 – Los Angeles – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) continues to grow exponentially, and with that comes inherent challenges.

Among them is acceptance that UPSL-sanctioned referees are the on-field authority in all league matches, and have the final word on any in-game actions.

United Premier National Director Matt Kahla, Jr., said, "As we continue to grow to more than 500 clubs, we are excited to be working closely with referees to continue to grow, not only away from the field but on the field as well. We are monitoring all situations at the beginning of every new week regarding any on-field behavioral issues. This includes verbal abuse from fans, players, coaches, and owners. The United Premier Soccer League appreciates all that the referees do, and will continually work close with them."

The FIFA Laws of the Game and UPSL Rules and Regulations will be enforced. Referee abuse will not be tolerated. The league continues to be prepared to fine, suspend or expel any fan, player, coach or owner who does not abide by the provisions currently in place.
