Chesapeake (Va.)-Based Pro Development Club Joins UPSL
Published May 16, 2019

May 16, 2019 – Los Angeles – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is excited to announce Quake Football Club as a new league member kicking off with the 2019 Fall Season.

Based in Chesapeake (Va.), Quake FC will play in the UPSL Pro Premier Southeast Conference Mid-Atlantic Division, and host its UPSL home games at Norfolk Collegiate school (7336 Granby St., Norfolk, Va., 23505) in compliance with UPSL Minimum Standards.

United Premier Soccer League Mid-Atlantic Division Manager Andy Salandy said, "We are pleased to welcome Quake FC to the United Premier Soccer League's Mid-Atlantic Division. Quake FC is a new club with bright ambitions, and Frank Luster knows his stuff. He wants to rock the foundation a little bit in Southeast Virginia, and he brings a lot of playing experience to the table. We wish Quake FC luck as they prepare for the UPSL Fall Season."

Frank Luster IV is Owner and President of Quake Football Club. A native of Chesapeake (Va.), Luster played four years of varsity soccer at Grassfield High School, was a member of Virginia Beach (Va.)'s nationally-ranked Beach FC team in 2011-'12, played multiple Olympic Development Program (ODP) seasons, and was a two-year member of the men's club soccer team at Harrisonburg (Va.)'s James Madison University.

Quake Football Club Frank Luster said, "We really wanted more competition and the opportunity to travel. I was big into travel soccer when I was in high school, and that's something that's missing at a higher level in Southeast Virginia area, so I was really stoked when I heard about the UPSL. To be able to run a club the way you want, and play in a super-organized national league is what it's all about. The UPSL really is stepping it up and letting clubs and players have a showcase."

Quake FC is operated by its Board of Directors: Christian Ramirez, Jonathan Chambers and Cory Johnson. Frank Luster III serves as an advisor. Henry Tasker previously served as Director of Marketing and Social Media.

The club previously played in a local amateur league, finishing unbeaten and reaching the postseason tournament quarterfinals.

"I'd like to thank Henry for his help getting this started, and to Christian for coaching our team during its first season. Also, big thanks to Jonathan and Cory for all the work that they've done with fundraising and our uniforms, and to my Dad for all the great advice so far," Luster IV said.

Quake FC will host open tryouts during first team practices from June 18 to July 14, and will announce its upcoming game schedule.
