Southern Californias Injen Total Football USA Promoted to UPSL Pro Premier in Clubs First Season

Pomona (Calif.)-based Pro Development club will play in UPSLs Pro Premier Tier
Published Jun 7, 2019

June 7, 2019 – Pomona (Calif.) – The path to promotion was simple for Injen Total Football USA. It's the road ahead that may prove complicated.

The only current Pro Development soccer club in Pomona (Calif.), Injen Total Football USA went unbeaten in posting a 11-2-0 overall record and a first-place finish atop the UPSL Championship SoCal South Division table to earn automatic promotion to UPSL Pro Premier for the 2019 Fall Season.

United Premier Soccer League Commissioner Yan Skwara said, "The UPSL is leading the way when it comes to Promotion/Relegation in the United States, and Injen Total Football USA embodies the aspirations of Pro Development clubs across the nation. We congratulate Injen Total Football USA on its wonderful."

Injen Total Football USA Owner Ron Delgado said, "This team has known each other played together for several years now, and some of the players have been with the club since they were 10 or 12-years-old. They're young so they don't have the experience playing with the older players and competition in the UPSL Pro Premier, and so we're doing a bit of recruiting to get a little older, a little more developed and a little bit wiser."

Injen Total Football USA was 6-0-0 at home this season. The team hosted its home games at Riverside (Calif.)'s Rancho Jurupa Sports Park.

"We'll be looking at our options for our UPSL Pro Premier debut. We trying to get into a high school for next season," Delgado said.

The Pomona (Calif.)-based club has been an attractive pipeline for players in the Inland area of Southern California.

"We're trying out new players all the time to see how we can take the team to the next level, but it's going to be a lot of hard work," Delgado said.
